God's Favorite Podcast - Episode Two

Late as always, I've finally got all the editing done for another edition of what may be the greatest show on Earth. Or not.

Because I love you all, the Odeo link returns! And will return for however long I keep this stupid thing going.

GOD'S FAVORITE PODCAST - Episode Two -
Monkey vs Ninja

powered by ODEO

In this episode Karl and I discuss the hazards of creating shitty web comics. We also have our first moment of true drama as the afterglow fades and we have our first argument. It's an episode that's both poignant and pragmatic, pretentious yet precocious. I suppose you could say it's a perilously palpable pulp product.

All that and Moulin Rouge, too!

Well, Stan wanted me to post some constructive criticism, so here we go.

Kill yourself.

Haha, I jest. Seriously, I enjoy the PGC podcasts more. There was too much uninformed whining for my taste, especialy from Karl. I don't like PVP much either, but jeez.
On the bright side, Stan and Karl work well together, with a good rythm and both have good voices. Karl's speaking abilities have improved noticeably from the early Nintendo Pirate Radio podcasts.
I think a tighter script and/or itinerary would keep things more organized and help the show flow better. It would make for less: "Cats. Boy, do those animals suck, or what?" kind of banter.

I'm gonna agree with you on PVP, Shy. After hearing myself in the final cut, I sound forced. I guess I was trying to make it funnier than it was. Thanks for the comment on my voice, though - I appreciate that a lot.

A tighter script? Well, Stan and I have never worked on a scripted show (even the PGC podcasts are based on short show notes, and Dark Horseman is perhaps one of my worst episodes ever for the fact that I was completely unprepared for it), which is why the meat of our episodes are usually banter. Maybe we should give a script a shot.

Gods Favorite Podcast was really just meant to be audio versions of the AIM conversations Stan and I have online, but maybe we should step it up a notch.

Ok, since I don't know anything about web comics, I can't really comment on too much. But on the things that I can comment on....I like Full Metal Alchemist ok. Seen one episode so I find the web comic spoof on that mildly funny. And I like mindless sunday comics so for some reason I disagree with a couple of sunday comics. But I am totally in your corner on the Boondocks. I'm sad that he's not going to be appearing in newspapers anymore but my Tivo is ready to go to tape the new season of the show. Ok, I guess that's all. Hmmm, I really need to be more informed I imagine.
